Flash Fiction Friday #20

It’s been a crazy week and I’m so happy that it’s Friday.

For this weeks FFF we had a wonderful image to work with that pretty much fits my mood as of recent so let’s get to the rules.

1 image, 100 words (no more, no less) and several writers with their own unique take on the same image.

FFF Crow

The snow bites her toes as her soul cracks in her return to the place where they first met.  As the icy depths from where she was born comfort her, the hole in her heart echoes the emptiness she feels and each time she returns to her brethren.

Crows have the ability to recognize faces.  Do they recognize hers or is it just the sadness they remember?  From the perch above, Atriums squawks out her name.

“I thought he’d be happy when I showed him my true form.  When he jumped to his death I knew I was wrong again.”

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you visit some of the following websites to see what some fabulous writers did with this image.
